Just a short plug for a newish dining establishment in Brandon, VT called 22 Park Eatery. This place has an eclectic menu ranging from Asian to burgers with a quick farm-to-table vibe. We stopped for lunch and were so pleasantly surprised, this will be our go-to place on the route 7 corridor between Manchester and Burlington.
Order up front and they'll give you a number for your table in the back (retro diner decor). Service was quick, the fries are not to be missed: flavorful, potato-y, very crispy, but not greasy. Our mains, a Mexican chicken (rice) bowl and smoked brisket chili were generously sized and delicious enough to bring our leftovers home.
Local beer and ice cream are always available, and 22 Park clearly already has a following based on the number of diners there. So, if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out; you really won't regret it. Or, if it's more convenient, you can order online and pick up when you want.
